The World Skating Association brings the Skates for Change Program to Orbit Skate Center in Palatine

CHICAGO - Feb. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Palatine, Illinois - The World Skating Association brings the Skates for Change Program to Orbit Skate Center in Palatine, Illinois. The World Skating Association, the sanctioning body for Jamskating, will be hosting their Skates for Change program Friday, February 21st from 7pm-12am and Saturday, February 22nd program that is geared towards sparking children’s interest in roller sports. The WSA will be bringing in professional skaters including members of Team Breaksk8 (as seen on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew) and team Riedell to perform and teach Jamskating as well as basic and advanced skating skills. Proceeds raised from this event will go back into the community by purchasing new skates to donate back to a selected skater from Orbit Skate Center. This event is open to all ages and anyone interested is encouraged to attend. The cost of each session is $10.00 per person plus $3 skate rental if needed. The rink is located at 615 S Consumers Ave, Palatine, IL 60074.
