Follow on Google News | The Train Is Leaving - Don't Miss It!"Not Just Another Love Story," is a crowd favorite, inspiring and entertaining audiences since opening in July 2006. Set in the days of WWII , this Broadway-style show is highly patriotic. It is the longest running show to date at the NarroWay Theatre and features authentic video clips and radio announcements from the 1940's, along with live action on stage. The show is currently in its ninth consectutive season. But when the lights go down on February 22, "Not Just Another Love Story" is gone until 2017. Because the show documents the days of the second World War, NarroWay is honoring WWII veterans by providing them free tickets for dinner and show. "My daddy was a WWII veteran," says Director Rebecca Martin. "There are not many left from that era, and there will be even fewer when the show re-opens in 2017. We want to take the opportunity we have now to honor that great generation." "Seats are filling up for that final performance," "Not Just Another Love Story" is ending its run at the NarroWay Theatre in order to make room for new shows to premier in the schedule. "It is our longest running show," says McCoy. "We are running shows every weekend at the theatre and we are out of room in our schedule to add anything new." The show continues its run, playing Friday evenings at 6:30pm and Saturdays at 12pm until February 22. for Valentine's weekend, an additional performance is set for 5pm on Saturday, February 15. The NarroWay Theatre is located just outide of Charlotte, 1/2 mile off I-77 exit 90 at Carowinds Boulevard.
