More Uncertainty On The Way For Small Businesses In Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. - Feb. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- (OMAHA) – Sean McGuire, the CEO and Founder of E.D. Bellis warned today in a statement that the Obama Administration’s further delay of the mandate for mid-sized employers is the harbinger of things to come with this seminal law.  Yesterday, final regulations were released by the Department of Treasury on one of the controversial pieces of the signature law passed almost four years ago.  In order for the law to pass Congress, many details had to be left to federal agencies to interpret and implement.

“When you pass legislation that is one size fits all and driven from the top down it creates a new normal for the American economy.  Regulators who have little interest in the over-all financial headaches this law is creating for the nation will now have the ultimate power to determine which part or parts of the law to implement and what changes are appropriate to make.” McGuire said.

“What gets even more tricky will be the new formulas and compliance still required for 2016 on the official employer report and not to mention the hidden tax of un-certainty that cost American businesses over $1 Billion last year to prepare for this mandate.”

E.D. Bellis Inc. is a professional service company helping small and mid-sized businesses solve problems in healthcare by reducing waste, protecting profits from audits and managing the change coming with the Affordable Care Act and other regulatory challenges.  McGuire previously served as a staff member for the United States Senate Finance Committee, where the ACA originated over five years ago.  Analysis and commentary from McGuire and the rest of team E.D.
