Instances of sexual violence, including assault and rape, are prevalent among colleges, universities, and the community (statistics are posted on the Rape Crisis Center of Medina and Summit Counties webpage http://www.rccmsc.org/resources/get-the-facts.aspx). President Obama recently addressed campus sex assault issues by establishing a task force to aid in developing policies to protect students from sexual violence. Dr. Katz's lecture will help to promote awareness and present possible prevention strategies to help schools and communities deal with this issue.
