Plant Science Today has commenced its groundbreaking journey

TRIVANDRUM, India - Feb. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Plant Science Today (PST) Volume 1, Issue 1 has been published on 1 January 2014 with 6 articles. This issue will continue to add new items as and when articles under review get accepted and ready for publication until 31 March 2014. The 2^nd issue will be published on 1 April 2014.

In the Editorial of the first issue¹, Editors pointed out that even though there are many journals available for plant science researchers, an open access journal will definitely serve as a medium for rapid publication of the research outputs and remove subscription barriers.

PST aims to address this need and serves as the main international forum for publishing research outcomes of various fields of plant science. The journal intends to primarily publish research papers, reviews, book reviews, conference reports, letters to the editors, conference announcements, etc.

Through the exemption of author charges for low income countries, we hope to help and support young researchers and PhD students who do not have the means to publish their original and very interesting results. The journal got affiliation at the ISSN (International Standard Serial Number, http://www.issn.org/) and registered as 2348.1900 with abbreviation as “Plant Sci. Today”.

Being an international journal, PST obtained DOI (Digital Object Identifier, http://www.doi.org/) name as 10.14719/pst for wider acceptance among the scientific community.
