Follow on Google News | JAB Promotions and SARTONK Release Kansas State Championship BeltKansas State boxers will fight for a State title and authentic SARTONK belt
By: SARTONK Founder of JAB Promotions, Juan Aldana, Jr., couldn’t be more elated. “I know whoever wins this belt is going to be proud, and there is not another belt quite like this Kansas State Boxing Belt, with its gold plated and hand painted medallion,” beams Aldana. As someone who’s worked hard to energize the sport of boxing in his home state, Aldana feels that this is a big step in the right direction. “I want people to take this sport seriously in Kansas, and to want to win the State title,” comments the long-time boxing insider turned promoter. The belt features SARTONK signature craftsmanship in the creation of an adapted state seal. Noting his initial study of the Kansas state seal, President of SARTONK, Ed Majian, recalls: “I was struck by its Latin slogan, which translates to ‘A rough road leads to the stars.’ This was it! It relates to agricultural labor, sure, but it also perfectly expresses the spirit of ‘roadwork’ Describing the first time he held the belt, Aldana intimates, “The pictures are nothing compared to actually holding the belt in my hands. The color coordination of the stones to the leather and the colors of the medallion, along with the start-to-finish careful construction, are awesome.” “We discussed every detail about the design with Juan,” comments Majian. “He’s worked so hard to put this event together, and he really believes in the sport. We were determined to provide a belt that exceeded his expectations.” As an aside, Aldana adds, “When I first started this journey I never thought SARTONK would return my call since I wasn't a big promoter, and when I received a call back it really surprised me. SARTONK is helping me fulfill my dream of promoting a boxing championship bout!” Weigh-ins are open to the public and will be held Friday, February 21st at Jax Sports Grille, 1907 E.
