The Sun Shines! is a cheery, upbeat song about the special warmth and joy we feel when the sun shines on our bodies. Set to an island rhythm featuring flute, guitar and steel drum, The Sun Shines! is a feel good song children will want to listen to over and over again.

Composed while walking along the ‘Cinder’ dtrail above the Hudson River, The Sun Shines! reminds us of the joyful sensation we experience when the sun gently lands on different parts of our bodies. Written and recorded in Sukey Molloy’s up close, intimate style, the song puts a smile on your face, and brings lots of sunshine into your day. The Sun Shines! is co-produced with Grammy winner, Larry Alexander who has co-produced with Sukey Molloy on each of her four albums. Larry has recorded such greats as Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, and David Bowie to name a few.

Prior to The Sun Shines! single release, Sukey has released four award winning CDs; Circle Songs , I Like to Sing, I Am Happy, and I Am Sleepy, and three award winning DVDs, Sukey’s Circle! Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3, currently airing on BabyFirst (TV). Trained as a professional modern dancer in New York City, Sukey performed as a member of the Solomon's Company Dance and went on to study Developmental Movement with former Olympian, Garland O'Quinn, Ph.D., and Infant Development at the School for Body Mind Centering. She began designing and teaching music and movement programs in 1985 and, in 2005, launched her own Nyack, NY-based PlayMove&Sing, Inc. program of 'Mommy & Me" and pre-K classes, in tandem with teacher training workshops. Sukey formed her own Sukey Molloy (Circle Song) Band in 2007 (now Sukey Molloy & Friends!), and following the release of her seven award winning CDs and DVDs, she has just released her new single, The Sun Shines!
