Secrets unravel in TFC’s sub-titled version of “Magkaribal”

QUEZON CITY, Philippines - Feb. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- The past comes back to haunt the present as secrets are revealed in “TFC Sub-titled Classics presents: Magkaribal”this month.

After years of searching for her other daughter or Victoria’s (Gretchen Barretto) sister, Manuel (Mark Gil) senses that her daughter may just be a person he knew all along.  In one of her conversations with Gelay (Bea Alonzo), she learns of how her story has an uncanny similarity with her daughter’s tale.  He suspects further when he sees Gelay in the possession of former wife Stella’s (Dimples Romana) designs.   Meantime, as Caloy’s (Enchong Dee) biological mother tries to return to his life, Caloy tries to enter Chloe’s (Erich Gonzales) world, much to the chagrin of Vera (Angel Aquino).   The first episode airs March 2 on TFC worldwide (March 1 Riyadh time).

On the second week (March 9 worldwide, March 8 Riyadh time) of “Magkaribal’s” sub-titled version, Manuel confirms that Gelay is indeed his daughter.  However, he finds out the hard way and confronts Vera who hid the DNA results revealing this.  Vera on the other hand, reprimands Chloe for trying to bring Caloy into their lives.  Gelay also vents as Victoria (Gretchen Barretto) refuses to wear Gelay’s creation after the young designer puts much effort into creating the dress.  The three let out their emotions in a rooftop where Vera tries to jump to her death but Manuel falls to his death instead.

The following week on “Magkaribal’s” sub-titled version (March 16 on TFC worldwide and March 15 Riyadh time), Gelay grieves for Manuel, not knowing that she is actually mourning the death of his long-lost father.  In a surprising twist, Victoria tries to claim the body of his estranged father but not without protest from Vera.

On March 23 (March 22 Riyadh time), Victoria, banned from visiting her own father’s grave, conceals herself as she attends Manuel’s wake.  Grieving for a father she cannot mourn, Victoria seeks the comfort of Louie while Gelay painfully looks on.  In the same episode, Vera learns that in order to get through Manuel’s last will and testament, she has to get the participation of Victoria.

On the last week (March 30 worldwide, March 29 Riyadh time), Vera finds out, after contesting the fact that Victoria is part of Manuel’s will, that the only thing they had to share aside from Manuel’s attention then, is the house where she lives in.  Gelay , who fears sharing the attention of the man she loves with Victoria, is assured by that man or Louie, that his intentions are real.
