Our day together was great. We challenged each other on many levels. We dug deep and asked ourselves the real heart wretching difficult questions and faced the bare naked truth about what domestic abuse looks like in our Islamic community. Many of us made or recommitted to taking action on the issue of domestic abuse in the Islamic community locally and worldwide. The video captures the full presentations of Imam Adeyinda Mendes (one of the resident Imams and teachers at the Madina Institute), Brother Bilal Stroud facilitator of Muslim Men Against Domestic Violence-Atlanta and Sr. Hadayai Majeed, co-founder and administrator of the Baitul Salaam Network, Inc.-International.
