Follow on Google News | Fourth Quarter Music Producer, John "J-Mac" McCall, makes his MTV DebutThe uniquely soulful and gifted music producer from North Carolina teams up with Bobby Capri to put the Fourth Quarter stamp on the song entitled "Tunnel Vision."
By: Fourth Quarter Entertainment Inc. President and CEO at Fourth Quarter Entertainment, Bobby Davidowitz and Michael Ramsey, have always been impressed with with not only J Mac's incredible versatility but with the fact that he is a true student of the game. Ramsey says, "I know when labels call, that I have something in the Fourth Quarter music vault for them...they just have to tell me what they're looking for." The story was no different when he received a call from Universal Records A&R, Octavius Crouch, also known in the industry as Doc Ock. Doc was working with Artist Bobby Capri on a new single and as is often the case weren't certain what track they were looking for until they heard it. Looking through the music folder sent by Fourth Quarter, one track stuck out. It was a track entitled "Friend or Foe." J Mac says, "That track had been getting a lot of attention from independent artists wanting to record on it, so I had a feeling someone of Bobby's caliber would license it. He definitely did it justice." The song written by Bobby Capri to the J Mac track was renamed "Tunnel Vision." It is one of those songs that you know comes from the heart featuring real life stories fueled by the desire to take life to the next level. Capri teamed up with artist Sean Price who adds that no BS tone and prophetic edge to the song. This proved to be a winning combination as the song and video where picked up by MTV.com. Davidowitz says, "From my experience as a film producer I know the importance video plays in getting the true feel of a song and spreading that song to the masses. I was excited to see that they not only chose our track but decided to make a great music video." The video while simple, truly captured a day in the life of Capri and did a great job of bringing the feel of everyday New York City life. After the video's debut on MTV.com it graduated to MTV Television Network and aired in 2013. Click here to see the video http://www.mtv.com/ End
