About Bart Scott:

Bart Scott is a former NFL linebacker who played with the Baltimore Ravens from 2002-2009 and with the New York Jets from 2009-2012. Bart Scott joined CBS Sports Network as a TV analysts in 2013 ending his illustrious 11-year football career. Bart Scott played college football at Southern Illinois University from 1998-2001. He was named first team All-Gateway Conference in 2001. Scott later returned to Southern Illinois in 2005 to finish his academic studies, graduating with a degree in economics. Scott was eventually inducted into the Southern Illinois' Hall of Fame in 2008. Bart went undrafted in the 2002 NFL Draft and was signed by the Baltimore Ravens as a free agent.  Prior to attending SIU, Bart attended Southeastern High School in Detroit, Michigan where he was named  first team all-state as a senior. Bart is an individual who prides himself on giving back to his communities.  In 2005, he bought new uniforms and equipment for the school’s football team and upgraded the weight room in 2007. In 2010, Scott paid for new bleachers and fencing after vandals stole the old bleachers and forced the Jungaleers to play all but their last “home” game at other venues. In tribute to Scott’s contributions on the field and off, Southeastern High School retired his jersey in 2008 and honored Scott in 2011 by naming its football field and track “Bart Scott Field”. Bart Scott is involved in multiple charities, including A Son Never Forgets, a foundation dedicated to helping those suffering with paralysis which was established by Scott himself in October 2006. Scott has also dedicated money to his former neighborhood, buying a plot of land to build a playground near his grandmother's home.
