Upfitter creates luxury Ford Transit interiors

OAK PARK, Mich. - March 10, 2014 - PRLog -- The arrival of the new Ford Transit heralds the dawn of a new age for the van. The stylish, sleek shape of the new Transit is a sharp departure from the Ford E-Series it's replacing.

After many years of availability outside the US, Ford has decided to overhaul their entire E-Series with the Transit in a movement to consolidate its North American and global vehicle lines. Starting this summer, the Ford Transit will be released in North America for the 2015 model year. The new Transit will be available in three different roof heights, and extended-wheelbase vans will be available with dual rear wheels.

For limousine operators and VIPs the Ford Transit will make a great addition to their vehicle fleets. As sprinter style vans are becoming more popular in the chauffeur world, Ford provides a great alternative to the Mercedes Sprinter. Not only is it more affordable, but the dealer network is much larger for Ford. Additional advantages include more affordable parts and a greater number of service locations.

Detroit Custom Coach is among the first to offer fully customized Ford Transit vans to the limousine and chauffeur world, and have already begun taking pre-orders. It will be the Sprinter killer.” From mobile offices to limousine interiors, the Ford Transit offers a versatile platform for both work and pleasure.

The new Transit platform will allow for countless configurations, from luxury executive 7 passenger seating to larger 15 passenger seating. Using high-end materials and processes, Detroit Custom Coach will create a luxury vehicle that feels like it is straight from the factory, yet fully customized to clients requests. Customized units will start at $65,000 and some top models will be sold for over $150,000.
