Eye Centers of Florida hosts Grand Opening at its Port Charlotte office

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - March 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Eye Centers of Florida will celebrate the relocation of its Port Charlotte office to 1940 Tamiami Trail in the Murdock Carrousel Shopping Center in Port Charlotte, FL 33948 on April 3, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event will include refreshments and a tour of the new facility with an official ribbon cutting at 5:15 p.m.

All services at Eye Centers of Florida are under the direction of founder David C. Brown, M.D., F.A.C.S. and include examination and diagnosis of eye conditions, testing for eyeglasses and contact lenses, cataract evaluations, and treatment of glaucoma and retinal diseases. The larger retail space features an expanded inventory of distinctive eyeglass frames and sunglasses.

“The new, larger facility is in a more centralized location, with easier access from all areas of Charlotte County,” said Dr. David C. Brown. "This move will allow us to continue to increase professional staff and expand services to meet the needs of the community."

Karen Memoli, O.D.will continue to provide eye exams, including diabetic and glaucoma care, as well as eyeglasses and contact lenses. Board certified physicians who see patients here are:  David C. Brown, M.D., F.A.C.S. and Barrett Ginsberg, M.D., F.A.C.S.,cornea and refractive surgeons specializing in cataract surgery, LASIK vision correction and glaucoma and Claudio A. Ferreira, M.D., a retinal surgeon specializing in macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, and retinal detachments and tears. Allison Yee, M.D., an ophthalmic plastic surgeon who specializes in surgery of the periocular area including functional, cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgery is also now available by appointment.
