Cox Chevrolet Wins Dealer of the Year Award

BRADENTON, Fla. - March 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Cox Chevrolet, a Bradenton, Florida car dealership, is proud to announce that for the second time in the last three years, they have been named one of the automaker's top dealers of the year. Officials at Chevrolet contacted the Cox family just recently to inform them in person of their Dealer of the Year Award.

Representatives from Chevrolet visited Cox Chevy to congratulate them in person. Later in April 2014, a member of the Cox family will accept the award in Detroit, Michigan.

In order to receive this recognition, a dealership has to meet strict standards in customer satisfaction and sales volume. Cox Chevrolet is one of only 30 dealerships nationwide to win the award. They previously took home a Dealer of the Year award in 2011.

The sales staff of forty-four team members combined to provide drivers with over 3,500 vehicles this past year and Cox Chevy General Sales Manager John Rudd credits each of the dealership's employees—as well as their customers—for their role in winning the award.

The criteria used to determine a Dealer of the Year is not limited just to sales; a dealership also has to meet standards in the auto service side of the business. Finally, customer satisfaction surveys give yet another evaluation.

"The award is kinda like winning the Super Bowl," Rudd said. "It's not something that just happens."

Cox Chevrolet was founded in 1926, and while some may remember a location in downtown Bradenton, the family-owned auto dealership has been in their current location since 1978. Cox Chevy sells both new and used cars at 2900 Cortez Road West, with an inventory of about 1,000 vehicles.

Although located in Bradenton, Rudd said that they receive many drivers from all over Florida and from parts of Georgia. The fifth generation of the Cox family is currently preparing to take ownership and leadership of the dealership, starting in 2014.
