SPOKANE, Wash. - March 25, 2014 - PRLog -- The hybrid willow grows at a tremendous rate when the weather is warm. It does not have the problem of suckering that so many other trees have. The quaking aspen is in this group as well. It has tremendous interest in the landscape with its smooth white bark and trembling round leaves that turn golden in the fall it is a tree that can not be beat.

Hybrid willow trees are becoming the latest sensation in landscaping. In today's world, we want it all, and we want it now, and landscaping is no exception. With the proliferation of television shows for "do-it-yourselfers" portraying instant results in home remodeling and landscaping, today's homeowners have come to expect that same instant gratification in their own landscapes.

Preventing soil erosion is another benefit of large trees. They provide habitat for birds and butterflies and squirrels, and many other little critters that prefer the safety of being off of the ground and away from predators. Many trees have flowers that provide pollen for bees. They provide beauty and interest to the landscape. You can hang a swing from a large tree, or install a hammock for lounging on a summer afternoon. You can build a tree house. You can climb a large tree. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

Full grown trees are very expensive to purchase and have transplanted into your own yard. A large tree can cost well over one thousand dollars, so for most people the possibility of filling their own landscapes with full grown trees is beyond their means so people are turning to fast growing trees to quickly satisfy those landscaping needs.

Another factor in large trees is their ability to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is considered to be a major contributing factor to global warming, and removing it from the air will slow the rate at which global warming occurs. Certain trees, such as the Royal Empress Tree remove extremely large amounts of carbon dioxide from the air. In turn, the tree releases the oxygen, keeping only the carbon inside, and we all breathe oxygen, which is good for everyone

The maple family has many members who are fast growing trees as well. The Amur Maple is a highly prized tree with its compact size, it is perfect for small yards and under power lines, yet it is big enough to provide that much needed shade. Its fall color is a familiar deep red that is so synonymous with fall in the eastern United States. The Red Maple and Shantung Maple are other examples of fast growing maple trees.

Among evergreens, the Giant Arborvitae is a top performer. It grows fast, becomes very large, and can be sheared and shaped to fit whatever your landscaping needs may be. It is terrific as a privacy hedge or a windbreak. The Norway spruce is a beautiful tree that has been used as a Christmas tree for many years because of its perfect pyramid shape and its strong branches that hold heavy snow or heavy ornaments.

One of the fastest growing trees as well as the tree with the fastest growing interest is the Royal Empress Tree. It has beautiful large lavender flowers that come out first in the spring and are followed by extra large leaves. These trees are one of the hottest trees on the market right now.

Fast growing trees are the right answer for the homeowner in today's economy.
