Free Not Freemium - Track Runner Update Brings Live Tracking amid Redesign

BOSTON - March 27, 2014 - PRLog -- The App Cauldron, Inc. announces the new version of award winning app Track Runner is now available free of charge.

The recent update brings Live Tracking to Track Runner, a feature that lets family and friends follow the user’s run remotely in near real-time. The runner simply invites others to follow his run via social network sharing, text messaging or email. Once invited, followers see the runner’s progress on a map.

Additionally, Live Cheering provides the follower with a convenient way to cheer on the runner by sending messages. The messages are instantly read out to the runner via voice notification.

“Live Tracking allows my wife and kids to cheer on my runs & know I am safe,” says Joel Jackson, an avid runner in rural Alaska who tested the feature pre-release. More feature-rich than most paid apps in its category, Track Runner now includes elevation and weather data. Users benefit from several run screen options including an energy saving mode as well as customizable voice notifications. Quick settings combined with an auto-pause feature help the user to change preferences easily during the run. A motivational live tile acts as a reminder to get active. Users can now log the mileage of their running gear with automated gear tracking. The app was also given a new, fresher look with a complete UI redesign.
