LWP and Trinity at Alkimos welcomes its 1,000th purchaser

PERTH, Australia - March 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Twelve homesites will be released at Atelier, the second of three villages to be developed at Trinity at Alkimos, on Wednesday 26 March to LWP Advantage members (and to the general public on 4 April).

The homesites range in size from 375sqm to 546sqm and are priced from $230,000.

With a strong ‘arts village’ theme, Atelier is bringing a taste of Fremantle to Trinity, according to Trinity Project Manager Adam Browne.

“The design team for Atelier spent many hours touring Fremantle – particularly East Fremantle – to understand what creates such a strong sense of place for the area,” Adam said.

“East Fremantle has a village feel – close to the ocean, but not directly on the beach, with shops, cafes and small businesses. There is a real diversity of housing, with lots of natural materials we associated with coastal living evident. This is the ambience we are working to create at Atelier.”

The result at Atelier will be a vibrant mix of colours, materials and housing styles, with a strong focus on arts and crafts.

“We are really encouraging purchasers to express their personalities through their home, with design guidelines that include wide verandahs, the use of different materials, decorative features such as gables and motifs, and punches of colour.

“We will be offering purchasers in select areas a choice of four styles of letterboxes, some of which have a space for public art to be incorporated. Some of the art for the letterboxes will be completed by us, while others will enable homeowners to add their own personal touch and creativity.”

The arts town theme will be reflected not only in public art, but also with arts-themed events and workshops for residents.

The first purchasers to buy at Atelier – and the 1000th purchaser in Trinity as a whole – were young couple James Simpson and Rachel Parker, both 23.

“We loved the concept of Atelier – the arty feel, and what we thought was a unique look for a northern suburbs development,” James said.

“The design guidelines really gave us confidence that Atelier will have a very special feel, and that appealed to us.”

The couple, who got engaged on a trip to Paris last year and currently live with their parents in Duncraig and Kingsley, were also attracted to Trinity because of its transport links.

“Rachel is a teacher at John Butler Primary College, so that’s a short drive for her, while the new Butler train station will make my commute into the city for work easy.” James said.

As the first to buy in Atelier, James and Rachel were lucky to secure their choice of homesite – a 465sqm block that was the perfect size for the home they are planning to build.

“We were so relieved when we got the homesite of our choice – we had registered for LWP Advantage, so we could reserve our choice online. We were pleased we had done it that way, as apparently all 11 homesites sold in one day!”

Located at the heart of Trinity, and set to become the social hub for the community, Atelier is nestled within a valley, with a dune at its high point providing views to the Indian Ocean and offering protection from the coastal elements.

Project Manager Adam Browne has been very pleased at the response to the concept for Atelier.

“The first land release at Atelier sold out in less than 24 hours. We know from Agora that residents really enjoy the public art within the village – it has become a real talking point and the community takes pride in the small and large artworks that have become so much a part of Trinity,” Adam said.

“Atelier will take that connection one step further, and it’s exciting to see how purchasers are responding to the vision.“

Atelier, like all elements of Trinity, is designed around the natural environment – incorporating native flora and fauna, undulating landscapes and dunes.

“There will be a strong emphasis on encouraging residents to get out and enjoy the green spaces that connect the different parts of Atelier and the rest of Trinity, whether just by taking the dog for a walk, strolling to the local shops or using the outdoor exercise stations within the interactive bush walk,” Adam said.

Atelier is also a short stroll from around 10 hectares of district open space to the south of Santorini Promenade that will include sporting ovals and courts.

As the neighbourhood centre for Trinity, Atelier will include a mix of retail, office, civic and educational facilities, all within an easy walk or cycle of homesites. A public high school is also planned adjacent to the district open space.

12 homesites are being released at Atelier, ranging in size from 375sqm to 546m2, and priced from $230,000 they will be available to LWP Advantage members on 26 March 2014, with sales open to the general public on 4 April 2014.
