Pathfinder Ranch donates proceeds to After the Homestretch horse rescue

HUMBOLDT, Ariz. - April 3, 2014 - PRLog -- The Bully Free Zone, at Pathfinder Ranch is donating $1 for each class participant to After the Homestretch Horse Rescue.

Mission:  Protecting the Legacy of Former Racehorses Through Reconditioning, Retraining, and Re-homing.

Our goal is to prepare our horses for new, adoptive home.  The majority of our horses have recently retired from the track, but we also have received horses from the AZ Dept of Agriculture and from persons who can no longer care for their ex-racehorse.

Since these horses were bred for athleticism, heart and intelligence they are still very athletic and are excelling in other disciplines. They just need a chance to find that second career and a new home … “after the homestretch.”

Trinity, our ex-race horse, is a rescue from ATHS.  What is not common knowlege is most ex-race horses are transported in a cramped and unsafe trailer without food or water, when they stop winning races, where they are butchered in Mexico  for human consumption in Europe and Asia.

The Bully Free Zone at Pathfinder Ranch is so fortunate to be sponsoring Trinity, whose track name was 'Two dollars to Win'.

The Bully Free Zone at Pathfinder Ranch Pathfinder Ranch provides non-riding equine assisted activities that promote attention to social cues, body language and personal space. By working with horses, participants learn how to create a personal bully free zone to prevent bullying in schools.

The Bully Free Zone at Pathfinder Ranch is a small, peaceful ranch with two rescued horses, Bandit and Trinity.

For maximum benefit a 4-6 week period of weekly classes is recommended.
