DEERFIELD, Ill. - April 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Dr. Eugene Roytburg, Managing Partner at 4i (http://4iconsult.com/), will be a panelist on CFO Magazine’s upcoming webcast on April 8th at 2:00 PM. The webcast, “Aligning Strategy and Execution with Performance-Management Systems,” (http://www.cfo.com/webcasts/index.cfm/l_eventdetail?webcast=14705740) will be moderated by Celina Rogers, CFO Publishing’s Vice President and Editorial Director. Other industry leaders will join Dr. Roytburg including Frank Diana at Tata Consultancy Services, John Lucker at Deloitte Analytics, and Mark Sarbiewski at Anaplan. The webinar will look at key issues such as increased use of predictive analytics so that companies can look at the past, while also predicting the future. The seminar highlights dramatic shifts in performance management, including a shift away from simple reporting as an end in itself, to using these tools to create insights and offer concrete advice on how to improve the business and drive profits.

Performance management has become increasingly essential as a means to improve business results. Competitive dynamics as well as more sophisticated customers means that companies msut be able to pinpoint, in advance, precisely not only what is driving the business, but also how to improve it. During the webcast, Dr. Roytburg, the premier thought leader in bringing science, advanced analytics, and consulting to business problem-solving and decision-making, and the other panelists will focus on how performance management systems and advanced analytics can drive strategic improvementswithin an organization. The discussion will be broken down into several parts, the first focusing on the importance of performance management followed by the state of those efforts today.

“There are key trends in performance management efforts that organizations need to take note of," said Dr. Roytburg. "For instance, organizations shouldn’t focus only on one finance metric, they need to look at multiple metrics to improve performance.” During the panel discussion, he will provide further insight into his vision of performance management and other key trends. Advanced analytics builds on a detailed analysis of what the current success rate might be, how decisions are currently made, and how that process could be improved using these types of techniques. "Improving the decision success rate by just one percent could have a major impact, and this is the key value of using predictive analytics," added Dr. Roytburg.

The webcast will then look at new options for performance management systems. Panelists will address advanced analytics—blending internal, external, and synthetic data to yield insight. They will also address predictive analytics and what that will mean for companies trying to manage performance.

“I believe that analyzing all types of data should be used to address performance management," added Dr. Roytburg. "CFOs have to think about the success rate of their CEO’s decisions, and how those decisions are made.”

Dr. Roytburg will also offer insight on what companies need to consider when evaluating their performance-management systems. “Response time is critical when wanting to achieve success. If companies don’t have an efficient response time, they place their overall performance at risk,” he said. In addition, Dr. Roytburg notes that other key factors include simulation optimization and war gaming capabilities.

CFO Magazine’s hour-long webcast will wrap up with discussion on “Change-Management Issues to Consider” and audience Q&A. Interested attendees must register with CFO.com (http://www.cfo.com/webcasts/index.cfm/l_eventdetail?webca...).
