Nissan Debuts Smart Rearview Mirror at New York Auto Show | Lou Fusz Nissan

April 11, 2014 - PRLog -- ST. LOUIS—The New York International Auto Show doesn’t just mark the debut of new Nissan vehicles, but also new Nissan technology. The automaker is introducing its new Smart Rearview Mirror on the 2014 Nissan Rogue at this year’s show!

Smart Rearview Mirror is the latest innovative to give Nissan the edge when it comes to safety, and it allows drivers an unimpeded view of what’s going on behind their vehicle. Using a camera that’s rear-mounted on the vehicle, the Smart Rearview Mirror system then shows drivers a view of what’s behind them on an LCD monitor that can be activated when needed using a control on the bottom of it.

"Smart Rearview Mirror will give our customers the best possible view no matter how tall the passengers in the back seat or how bad the road conditions," said Andy Palmer, Chief Planning Officer and Executive Vice President of Nissan.
