First issue of neon-noir comic series San Hannibal debuts April 16

LAS VEGAS - April 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Low-rent private detective Ira Avery didn’t know what he was getting himself into when he agreed to take on the case of missing photojournalist Savannah Loy. In a city like San Hannibal, however, nothing is as it seems, and everybody—from Loy’s meathead boyfriend to punk rock singer Diane Thrax—has something to hide.

Debuting in comic book stores everywhere on April 16, San Hannibal is a five-issue retro-futuristic, hard-boiled crime series created by Dan Schkade, with art in the first issue by JD Faith. Featuring a look and feel unlike anything else—call it “neon noir”—San Hannibal is as visually daring as it is entirely engrossing.

Critics are already raving about the debut issue. Derek Royal of the Comics Alternative Podcast says the “neon intensity” of the artwork underscores “a noir tone.
