Nissan Introduces Free Charging for the All-Electric Leaf | Lou Fusz Nissan

April 17, 2014 - PRLog -- ST. LOUIS—Nissan recently announced that the automaker plans to offer two years of free public vehicle charging for the all-electric Nissan Leaf in a number of U.S. markets!

People who buy or lease the popular Nissan Leaf beginning July 1 in 10 different markets will recieve EZ-Charge cards that allow them to charge their vehicle for free. The markets participating in this program include San Diego, Nashville, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Washington and more.

An additional 15 markets will be added to the program in 2015, as Nissan hopes to encourage more and more drivers to try out the efficient and fun-to-drive Leaf.

“Public charging is an important way to provide added range confidence to EV buyers and persuade more shoppers to join the more than 110,000 LEAF drivers around the world,” Fred Diaz, Nissan’s senior vice president for U.S. sales, said.
