What happens when psychiatry looks at life?

EASTBOURNE, U.K. - April 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Laurie Wilkinson is a Senior Psychiatric Nurse from Eastbourne. He records what he sees in poetry, in a different, powerful manner designed to provoke emotional response from the reader.   Now he has published these views and observations of life in Poetic Views of Life from MyVoice Publishing, encapsulated in sections of the book romance, humour, reflection and tragedy. The poems are cunningly constructed to evoke emotions in the reader.  Adding a down to earth turn of phrase in the poems delivery ensures that anyone reading the poetry will be entertained, possibly impassioned and motivated to look at life differently. Readers will find themselves smiling, angry and sad by turns.  There is something special about psychiatry's ability to evoke emotion.

Poetic Views of Life is available from Amazon and other book stores for £4.49 and also as an eBook.

Return to Sender

The lonely man will sit and wait

For the world to come to him,

Thus he will never win a life

Not going out on a limb.

Nothing is gained unless you try

So best be prepared for pain,

But warn the private inner self

Of  joy that you may gain.

So he will take the safest route

And none of himself will give,

Crying when its far too late

For a fulfilled life to live!
