Brodeur Garners Jackson Medal Upon Completing Term as CTDA President

FORT MYERS, Fla. - April 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Brodeur Carvell Fine Apparel (http://brodeurcarvell.com) is pleased to announce that co-owner Ron Brodeur has been awarded the Jackson Medal upon completion of his one-year term as President of the Custom Tailors & Designers Association of America (CTDA). Brodeur has been a custom clothier in Southwest Florida for 21 years, and has been a member of the CTDA for more than 16 years.

The Jackson Medal was first awarded in 1898 at the CTDA’s 18^th Annual Convention in Buffalo, New York “For the Best Cut & Most Stylish Garment Shown” during its fashion show.  However, since the 1960’s, the Jackson Medal has been handed down to the outgoing President of the CTDA, to be displayed in his or her place of business. Past President Christine Trager presented the medal to Brodeur.

The Jackson Medal will be on display at Brodeur Carvell, which is located in the Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers and offers fine custom clothing and ready-to-wear apparel for men and women, business and pleasure.

“It’s a tremendous honor to have served as President of the CTDA, and I’m proud to display the award in my store, said Brodeur. “Some of the best tailors in America have served as CTDA Presidents.”

Brodeur served his term as CTDA’s 2013 President after many years as chair of the association’s Education Program, which trains new clothiers to measure and fit, and operate their own custom clothing small business. Brodeur was among the first graduates of the Program in 2002, which awarded him status as a “Master Custom Clothier.”
