Nissan Debuts Prototype of Self-Cleaning Car | Lou Fusz Nissan

April 24, 2014 - PRLog -- ST. LOUIS—For anyone who has ever wished that their vehicle would simply clean itself, Nissan has come to the rescue. The automaker recently introduced a prototype of a self-cleaning car-- the world’s first-- that uses innovative new paint technology to repel rain, dirt and mud.

The technology, called Ultra-Ever Dry®, is being tested by Nissan in Europe on the Nissan Note. According to Nissan, the product has worked well, keeping a protective layer on the vehicle to keep the elements out. Though Nissan has no plans to adopt this product for production models, it’s a step towards using this technology in the future.
