What's New for 2014 MDX
Acura's redesigned platform offers a roomier interior. A new 7-inch touchscreen eliminates the need for a dashboard cluttered with buttons and switches, resulting in a more streamlined look. Second row seating now glides forward with the press of a button for easy access and comfortable seating in the third row. The overall ride is smoother and quieter than that of its predecessor. The new 3.5-liter V-6 engine in combination with an advanced direct fuel injection system produces quicker acceleration and improved fuel economy.

Powertrain and Fuel Economy
The new Acura MDX's 3.5-liter V-6 engine generates 290 horse power. The vehicle comes standard with a six-speed sequential sport shift automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is available as an option for navigating through Denver Colorado's winter storms.

At last, the concept of fuel efficiency and the model of sport utility vehicle have paired in harmony, thanks to some of the 2014 MDX's modifications that include overall vehicle weight reduction. The EPA-estimated fuel economy rating now proudly boasts 20-mpg city, 28-mpg highway and 23-mpg combined for the front wheel drive model. The all-wheel drive model dips only slightly to 18-mpg city, 27-mpg highway and 21-mpg combined.

Safety Features
The Acura MDX comes standard with antilock brakes, electronic brake distribution, brake assist, two front airbags, a driver's knee airbag and side airbags for all three rows. The MDX is also equipped with a security system, vehicle stability assist and a tire pressure monitoring system. Additional safety features are available with the technology options package.
