APS Elastomers Develops Soft TPE Compound for Earplugs

ROMULUS, Mich. - May 6, 2014 - PRLog -- APS Elastomers has developed a soft thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compound for earplugs and other applications that require noise and vibration reduction. The material is latex free; diminishing the likelihood of allergic reactions. The new grade is soft to the touch, microbial resistant, and offers excellent vibration dampening properties.  “Our TPE is specially formulated to be softer and more flexible than traditional materials used,” says Roger Huarng, owner of APS Elastomers.

The grades require no drying, are easily colored, process easily and provide superior bonding performance and consistent mechanical properties when used in overmolding applications.
