Follow on Google News | Classic Raises Funds for CMPD Special Operations K9 UnitBy: Classic Graphics Officer Matt Yoder of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) responded mentioning that while they had a generous donation last year from a Charlotte corporation and were “all set” on bullet proof vests for the special operations unit, two of the dogs were in need of harness systems that the canines wear when going into dangerous situations. Yoder said “Interested?” David Pitts, President and Founder of Classic and a dog lover also, was behind Kinsella’s cause from the get go. “I’m very happy that the people of Classic could come together to help law enforcement keep these incredible animals safe in the performance of their duties. Our people are always up for a challenge,” commented Pitts. “Our budget does not allow us to go out and buy these harnesses at $600 a piece,” added Officer Matt Yoder. “So when local companies reach out to support us it makes a big impact. These harness systems are specifically designed to allow our dog teams to perform all tasks to support every unit within the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. We are grateful to our supporters,” The harnesses are being designed by Remington Arms K-9 out of Charlotte. Matt Yoder and his team will be bringing the dogs out to Classic Headquarters in Innovation Park in May to meet everyone. About Classic: Classic, an Imagine!
