Follow on Google News | Musical Great Charlie Daniels On PROFILESPROFILES host Mickey Burns interviews the multi-talented Charlie Daniels. His signature hit "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" has been played on the radio over three million times.
After 50 years in the music business, Daniels is certainly worthy of the term "Living Legend". With over 50 albums to his credit, Daniels is currently releasing his latest edition titled: "Off The Grid: Doin' It Dylan". The new album contains his version of ten of Dylan's first writings. Interestingly, back in the 60's, Dylan came to Nashville and recorded three albums. And it was Charlie Daniels who played guitar on all three... legitimizing him as a serious musician. Daniels is skilled on guitar, fiddle and mandolin. Recently, he was featured in television commercials for U.P.S. and GEICO... playing the fiddle of course! Besides winning a Grammy along with other numerous awards for his No. #1 hit "The Devil Went Down To Georgia", the song became a cornerstone in the "Urban Cowboy" movie soundtrack. Inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008, throughout his 50 plus years of creating his own new definitions of music... Daniels has scored hits on Rock, Country, Pop and Christian charts.
