Next Media Group Announces Hiring of Managing Medical Editor Christina Ferraro

MAHWAH, N.J. - May 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Next Media Group is pleased to introduce its newest team member, Ms. Christina Ferraro, who assumed her post as Managing Medical Editor on April 15^th.  In her role as Managing Medical Editor, Ms. Ferraro will be responsible for the acquisition, development, and peer review of sound instructional content on behalf of THE NEXTDDS dental student resource.  Under her management and collaboration with the members of the Academic Advisory Board for THE NEXTDDS, Ms. Ferraro will ensure the website continues to deliver valuable instructional resources that support the competency of THE NEXTDDS user community.

Ms. Ferraro comes to the business with over five years of direct experience in academic publishing and a Master’s Degree in English from Iona College.  In her previous roles at publishers such as Pearson and Oxford University Press, Ms. Ferraro has been responsible for the development of print and e-books, various ancillaries, test preparation materials, and online resources geared toward students, scholars, and professionals.

THE NEXTDDS is availed to U.S dental students from their first year through their transition into the post-graduate environment, sharing educational resources (e.g., instructional videos, articles, podcasts, didactic illustrations) that better prepare the students for a career in dentistry.  The website also affords dental students with 24/7 access to an expanding peer network that facilitates a professional exchange among these “digital natives.” To date, THE NEXTDDS has been embraced by over 10,000 dental students in 63 schools across the country.
