Lollicup USA Receives Southern California Edison's Energy Efficiency Participation Award

CHINO, Calif. - May 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Southern California Edison (SCE) joined the national celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month for its ninth annual celebration to show appreciation to its customers, business partners, and community organizations on May 2^nd.

Lollicup USA was awarded an Energy Efficiency Participation Award, alongside Din Tai Fung USA, after adding a new LED lighting system to its corporate headquarter facilities, saving the company approximately $80,000 annually.

“We’re very excited to be awarded by Southern California Edison,” stated Alan Yu, Lollicup’s co-founder and CEO. “Switching to LED lights has cut our costs significantly, which both helps us and is energy-efficient and eco-friendly.”

SCE’s energy management solutions are a way to help businesses cut costs and carbon footprint, while adding to their bottom line. Programs are funded by California utility customers and administered by SCE under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.­­­

This year’s celebration, themed “Celebrating Business & Community Partnerships,” was held at SCE’s Energy Education Center in Irwindale and also highlighted SCE’s investment and contribution to higher education, particularly Asian recipients of the Edison Scholars Program. Ding-Jo H. Currie, Ph.D., professor at California State University, Fullerton, joined SCE in celebrating, serving as keynote speaker. KNBC anchor Hetty Chang was the emcee.
