CHICAGO - May 9, 2014 - PRLog -- The dining options at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare are already widely acclaimed.  The menu at its O’H American Grill favors locally-sourced ingredients with an innovative flair, emblematic of Chicago’s vaunted dining reputation. The Red Bar & Lounge is perfectly appointed and features a well-stocked bar and great appetizers and comfort food. No “airport hotel” compromises here.

But what is exciting the local food scene is a new pop-up dining series that began on May 5 and is scheduled to continue for five weeks. The series, which will feature both in-house and local chefs, sommeliers, bartenders and mixologists, is intended to present a platform for culinary professionals to exhibit their unique talents. From tacos to traditional fare, accompanied by outstanding wine, cocktail and beer selections, the pop-up dining series aims to bring the best of Chicago’s dining diversity into the hotel for the pleasure of its guests.

According to Jeremy Baras, the president of PopUp Republic, a leading social media marketing company that specializes in pop-ups, the concept is creative and captures the appeal of the trendy pop-up movement.  “My family recently visited Paris for a week-long holiday. Before embarking, they contacted their hotel’s concierge and asked that he make dinner recommendations and arrangements for some Parisian hotels he favored. This is what usually happens — hotel guests elect to leave the hotel in search of restaurants favored by the locals.  What the Hyatt Regency O’Hare is doing is enabling its guests to sample the best of Chicago’s famous cuisine scene without having to leave the hotel.”

The hotel’s food and beverage staff is curating the event.  For further information and updates on the upcoming pop-ups, click here. To participate in the series or for specific questions, e-mail info@popuprepublic.com.
