ORLANDO, Fla. - May 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Donny Pauling spent nine years as a pornography film producer. He shares passionately with his audiences because he knows the truth. “Yes, I was a porn producer for 9 years, contracting with Playboy and a group of other well known companies. Yes, I have become a Christian. And yes, I now speak publicly about what goes on behind the scenes as well as a numerous Churches and Universities (including Yale University – WOOT!) across this great country of ours. But the reason I speak about what goes on “behind the scenes” of porn is NOT because I have become a Christian. I do so because someone needs to do so. Porn is often portrayed as great fun, happy go lucky, and victimless. The fantasy shown on screen seems fantastic. The realities of porn, however, are not even close. I am a firm believer in freedom of speech and expression and it is my personal belief that education, not legislation, is what changes hearts. Therefore it is my goal to educate so that those who hear can make a more informed decision.” Donny brings the truth about the pornography industry and how it affects the performers and models that are used in the video productions.

“Trafficking In America Task Force has had a lot of resistance to addressing the demand part of the traditional business model of supply and demand. Regardless, we will continue to move forward with this as a clear focus. Without addressing the demand – why men are willing to purchase illegal sex of women, men, and children, by the millions every day – the circle known as human trafficking will only grow wider and more far reaching. The Trafficking In America Conferences are designed for the general public to become informed and educated by experts and authorities; to protect their at-risk youth; and to mobilize and engage people across America to help turn this horrendous crime of human trafficking around. The 4th National Conference on Human Trafficking in America strategically addresses the business model that is used in every for-profit business venture: supply on day one; distribution on day two; and demand on day three.” Yvonne Williams, President of Trafficking In America Task Force and Coordinator of the Human Trafficking Conference, continues by saying, “All of our work is fruitless if we do nothing to actively work on demand reduction.”

Along with Pauling, presenting Friday morning, attendees will hear from Rus Ervin Funk on the topic: "Preventing Violence Against Women." Rus is a long time advocate and activist working to expand human rights and prevent violence. He has founded or co-founded dozens of organizations throughout the United States including DC Men Against Rape (now Men Can Stop Rape, Inc.), People Alliance for Justice, Metro Clinic Defense Task Force, Men For Gender Justice, Men for Women’s Choice, Mobilizing to end Violence and more. Rus is currently the executive director and co-founder of MensWork: Eliminating Violence Against Women, Inc. (based in Louisville, KY) is the co-founder of the Ohio Men’s Action Network, serves on the boards of directors of the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the National Resource Center on Sexual and Domestic Violence, and the Association of Community Organization and Social Administration. In addition, Rus also serves on the Steering Committee of the North American men Engage Network, and the National Inter-personal Violence Committee.

As an author, Rus has written dozens of articles, chapters and books including, most recently Reaching Men: Strategies for Preventing Sexist Attitudes, Behaviors and Violence (Jist Publications, 2007). Rus is also a sought after presenter trainer. About Trafficking in America Task Force

Trafficking in America Task Force is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization whose founders have been working since 2004 to educate the American population about the reality of the sale of American women, men, and children into sexual slavery for the profit and pleasure of their perpetrators, and that the forced labor trafficking of both adults and children is real in this country. Our vision is to help eliminate the human trafficking of women, men and minor children in America, and to provide a culture for our children free of sexual exploitation and slavery, where people know and own their own intrinsic value.
