Garret Lazenby Named Principal at Sterling Risk Advisors

ATLANTA - May 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Garret Lazenby has been admitted as a shareholder and principal at Sterling Risk Advisors -- an Atlanta-based risk management and insurance brokerage firm. The announcement comes in recognition of his tremendous contributions since joining the firm in 2011.

Lazenby’s skills include a broad range of insurance solutions for professionals, general commercial business, community associations, and individuals. He helps lead the transportation, logistics, and supply chain practice for Sterling Risk Advisors.

His areas of expertise include:

Before joining Sterling, Lazenby was senior business development manager of the Southeast for UPS Capital Insurance Agency; account executive for UPS Freight Forwarding, where he received numerous awards such as the World of Champion and President's Circle of Excellence Awards; international sales executive for Cosa Freight; and trainmaster for Norfolk Southern Corporation.

Lazenby received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Logistics & Intermodal Transportation from Georgia Southern University. While there, he played Division 1 Varsity soccer and was awarded All-Conference, All-Tournament, Scholar Athlete and Team Captain honors.

He is active in various associations and industry groups including the Georgia Motor Trucking Association and Beta Gamma Sigma, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Transportation Club of Atlanta. He lives in Decatur, Georgia with his wife, Mary-Helen.
