Clinical Professionals Raise Over £250 for Walk the Walk

May 22, 2014 - PRLog -- The Clinical Professionals Group, Europe’s leading independent pharmaceutical recruitment company, yesterday announced that the group had raised over £250 for Walk the Walk.

Tuesday’s fundraising event involved Clinical Professionals’ employees donating a minimum of £1 to dress as a superhero for the day or being fined £4 if they didn’t!  Throughout the day employees competed in teams to be awarded the top performing team of the day.  Cakes were also sold for 50p each, employees made personal donations, and the Clinical Professionals Group matched all funds raised.

Walk the Walk is a grant making charity to support people with breast cancer and support research into the disease.  The charity specifically aims to support projects that would normally struggle to obtain funding, allowing researchers to learn more on the causes of breast cancer, and improve current treatments.

The Clinical Professionals Group’s CEO, Yvette Cleland, commented: “One of our team had a partner doing the Moon Walk and we wished to further support her efforts in fundraising.  Clinical Professionals runs charity days throughout the year, raising funds for both local and national charities selected by our internal teams.  This was a great day of fun for the whole business with an excellent outcome for Walk the Walk and internal teamwork in fundraising.  Breast cancer charities are of great personal interest to me having lost friends to this awful disease, it was a superb day.”
