Entrepreneurial Spirit Ignites in Youth with Premiere of Kids Business Expo in Atlanta

ATLANTA - May 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlanta’s reputation as an entrepreneurial hub is expanding to youth with the premiere of the Kids Business Expo in February 2015. The day-long event will give young entrepreneurs the tools and knowledge to launch their own for profit or socially minded business. The Expo is being organized by Atlanta-based event management firm Global CIF.

The Kids Business Expo will feature a combination of an expo and educational sessions where companies providing business services and technology can reach young professionals.

Attendees and their parents can learn about business solutions through keynote speakers, an open forum for discussions and information about hands-on business opportunities in addition to the businesses showcased on the Expo floor.

"Today’s young entrepreneurs have the desire to transform the traditional lemonade stand into a viable business and the Kids Business Expo will give them what is needed to make their dream a reality," said Dirk Ebener, CEO of Global CIF. The Expo will feature a Kids Are Heroes ® pavilion to nurture the social entrepreneurial spirit of youth. The Frederick, Maryland-based non-profit organization will host its first ever Young Leaders Summit during the Expo, and invite more than 400 young heroes from all over the world to celebrate their spirit of leadership and giving.

Kids Are Heroes was founded in 2008 by 16 year-old MaryMargaret O’Neill and demonstrates the power of today’s youth by connecting and supporting young social entrepreneurs. This will be the organization’s first venture onto the national stage by co-locating with the Kids Business Expo.

“Kids are inspired and motivated by the accomplishments of children their own age,” said MaryMargaret O’Neill, Kids Are Heroes Founder. “By partnering with Kids Business Expo, we will be able to reach out and inspire an even larger number of young entrepreneurs to create their own projects for the greater good.”

Designed much like a professional trade show, the Kids Business Expo will offer many opportunities for young people to share their ideas with others. The "Young Entrepreneur Center" will enable young people to present their ideas to other businesses and finders. The Expo will also feature a “Product Presentation Area” where participants can put their products and ideas on display, as well as poster board to present business concepts.

Established businesses and organizations will be able to promote their apprenticeship and internship programs as well. Kids and parents are encouraged to actively participate in meetings and activities around the event.
