VDE, LLC opens vehicle modification facility in Grosse Ile, Michigan

GROSSE ILE, Mich. - May 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Darren Waugh, President of Vehicle Development Corporation, a leading provider of right hand drive (RHD) modification services based in Melbourne Australia, announced the opening of Vehicle Development Enterprises LLC to export Ford F-Series trucks.

“We have more than 20 years of experience supplying right hand drive (RHD) vehicles all over the world. We are thrilled to bring our RHD expertise to Michigan and export F-550 modified trucks to RHD-Asia.  We are using many local contractors and plan to help grow the local economy.  There is a real market for RHD modified vehicles around the world.  The economies of scale here in Detroit allows us to provide our high quality modification services at a very competitive export price.” Waugh said.

Vehicle Development Enterprises LLC will leverage the ongoing R&D and production engineering services provided by Vehicle Development Corp in Melbourne, Australia

Vehicle Development Enterprises LLC was formed in September 2013 after Waugh recruited auto industry veteran, Lenny Pusdesris as his Chief Operating Officer.  The new business will employ 35-40 people and is located in the Grosse Ile Airport Commerce Park at 9510 Groh Rd, Grosse Ile, MI 48138.  “It is remarkable what Lenny and his team have accomplished in the last six months. We are now at full production and we’re aggressively pursuing additional business.” Waugh said.

Separate of right hand drive modifications, Vehicle Development Enterprise LLC is a participant in the Ford Motor Company Gaseous Fuel – Qualified Vehicle Modifier Program and provides additional upfitter services for the commercial vehicle market.
