Follow on Google News | Pastor Mac Hammond Awarded Brooklyn Park Police Department Citizen AwardSenior pastor at Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park, Pastor Mac Hammond, was recently awarded a “Citizen Award” by the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
The award acknowledged the financial donations given to the police department from Pastor Mac Hammond and his congregation at Living Word Christian Center that provided a robot for the SWAT team to help with safe entries and intelligence collection to keep SWAT officers safe as well as the purchase of a third K-9, which has provided more safety to the community. The award also acknowledged the donation of the church building for training purposes and the demonstrations of appreciation Living Word has sent through “Thank a Cop Day” and the provision of cookies to officers who work on Christmas. The “Citizen Award” was also given to Pastor Phil Winn, one of the pastors on staff at Living Word, for his community outreach efforts, partnership with the city, and his connection with the Brooklyn Park Police. Pastors Mac and Lynne Hammond are the founders and senior pastors of Living Word Christian Center, a local, nondenominational church in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, that was founded in 1980.
