«      Brother-and-sister team, Zeb and Claudia Stocken, created StockenBridge Breaks in 2007 and host all Bridge holidays in person, offering guests a warm welcome alongside expert Bridge tuition.

«      Zeb and Claudia, along with their two brothers, were taught Bridge from a very early age by their parents, who had met at university across a Bridge table. The entire family is passionate about Bridge, having played at club, county and national level. Their father, Peter Stocken, has served two successful tenures as Chairman of the English Bridge Union, while Zeb and his brothers all make their living as Bridge professionals.

«      Claudia uses her excellent organisational skills and previous travel industry experience to run StockenBridge Breaks alongside her work as a part-time vet. She continues to play Bridge competitively and socially whenever she can, and is looking forward to teaching her two young children, Millie and Charlie, as soon as they are old enough.

«      Zeb, the youngest member of the family, started playing Bridge at six years of age, and enjoyed a successful career as a member of the British Junior Squad, before achieving the prestigious rank of National Master. Zeb spent five years as Director and teacher at the Andrew Robson Bridge Club and now teaches private groups all over London, in addition to running his own popular weekly clubs in Dulwich and Blackheath. He is known fondly for his ability to simplify the process of learning bridge, making it fun from the outset, and for his good humour.

«      The Stocken family has a long-standing reputation that goes back way before Bridge for its intricate, handcrafted wooden jigsaws and three-dimensional puzzles. Four generations have now mastered the art, handed down from Enid Stocken, who began cutting jigsaws in 1915 and achieved worldwide renown for her skill. Enid’s jigsaws are now heirlooms and collectors’ items, and her descendents continue to produce bespoke jigsaws, catering where possible for their customers’ every whim, fancy and special occasion.
