Nano Magnetics Sponsors PayPal's First Ever 'Battle Hack' Toronto

TORONTO - May 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Nano Magnetics is proud to be a sponsorship partner of PayPal’s Battle Hack - a series of global hackathons where developers compete to build the best application to help their local community and “Become the Ultimate Hacker for Good.”

Across 11 cities, participants have only 24 hours to design and build working software upon PayPal’s API. The battlegrounds include San Francisco, Tel Aviv, Miami, Istanbul, Berlin, Chicago, Warsaw, Boston, Moscow, London and Toronto, where the finals conclude on November 14-16 in San Jose, California.

Alongside $100,000 and the title of "The Ultimate Hacker For Good", participating developers also have the chance to score prizes including Nano Magnetics' latest innovation - Nanodots GYRO Duo.

Battle Hack is a series of global hackathon contests organised by PayPal. Competitors are required to solve a local problem by coding. Winners of the first prize of each contest get an axe as the trophy, and admission to the world finals where competitors compete for the $100,000 grand prize.
