May 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Buffalo, N.Y. - May 27, 2014-Coney Island will get a taste of Buffalo’s best booze-infused blues and rockabilly when The Heavenly Chillbillies perform as part of the pre-show festivities at the nationally televised Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. The event has been held annually on July 4 since 1916, and this year’s organizers estimate that over 40,000 spectators will attend; making it the largest single crowd The Heavenly Chillbillies have performed in front of to date.

This is not the first pairing of The Heavenly Chillbillies and a major food event. Since 2012 The Heavenly Chillbillies have been the official house band at the National Buffalo Wing Festival held annually at Buffalo’s iconic Coca Cola Field each summer.

This is not the first major announcement from THC this summer. In addition to landing the spot at the Nathan’s Event, The Heavenly Chillbillies were featured on an episode of “Buffalo Night Out TV” broadcast on WKBW, and are finalists in this year's Artvoice Boom [Best of Original Music] competition.

On top of their busy summer circuit, The Heavenly Chillbillies are entering the studio to wrap up their sophomore album. Fans can expect “Hot Rods from Hell” to be available at the 2014 Buffalo Wing Festival, with various tracks released throughout the summer.

The Heavenly Chillbillies plan to travel to Coney Island in their famed “Jambulance,” a vehicle that once served as an ambulance, and now houses the band and its gear when they go on the road. The Heavenly Chillbillies are in the midst of a campaign to convert the vehicle to run on WVO (waste vegetable oil.)
