“Our goal is to bring more film companies to our area with crews staying at our member hotels, motels and inns,” says Rebekah Evans, executive director of the Ventura County Lodging Association, which spearheads the VenturaCountyWest marketing efforts. “We have such a variety of site options from rugged terrain, pristine beaches, harbors and agriculture to historic buildings, quaint downtowns and commercial and residential properties.” VenturaCountyWest is already a popular filming destination. Recently, VenturaCountyWest cities have been the filming location for such shows as NCIS, House Hunters International, American Dream Builders, Operation Repo and 48 Hours. “VenturaCountyWest has film-friendly hotels to fit any size budget and has the lodging capacity to easily accommodate even the largest crew,” explains Evans.
