Rapper David Banner and Director Rob Hardy Join Real Men Cook’s Father’s Day Celebration

ATLANTA - June 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA –  Celebrating 25 years, Real Men Cook for Charity has become a Father’s Day tradition for many families across the country. The popular event brings together thousands of people to celebrate strong Black men with a fun-filled day featuring over 100 dishes to taste, prizes, games, chef demonstrations, and a Health Pavilion. The Real Men Cook for Charity Atlanta (RMC Atlanta) celebration will take place 3 – 6 PM Sunday, June 15, at the Georgia World Congress Center, Georgia Ballroom Building C. Tickets can be purchased at ticket outlets throughout Atlanta or online at www.ticketannex.com.
  WHAT:          Real Men Cook Atlanta Father’s Day Celebration - brings together men from all walks of life volunteering to cook a dish for the public to taste. The men have fun competing for prizes and showing off at the chef demonstration tables. In addition to the food-tasting, there is entertainment, dancing and plenty of giveaway’s. The silent auction will include a Bahamas hotel stay and an original autographed Super Soaker donated by the creator Dr. Lonnie Johnson along with an original print by International Olympics Artist Steve Allen.
WHO:          Real Men Cook for Charity Atlanta – Real Men Cook for Charity Atlanta  – Bahamian Chef Daron Wilson,Chef Idris Muhammad, executive chef, Neiman Marcus Café at Lenox Square Mall.  Guest hosts and speakers include: director/producer Rob Hardy (Criminal Minds, The Gospel); rapper/actor, David  Banner; Rick Joyner, The Rick Joyner Experience and Bobby Jones Gospel; Mikaya Milan Thurmond, WTVC Reporter/anchor; and Deidre Dukes, Weekend Anchor, Fox 5 TV. This year the charity event will benefit the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals Summer Youth ACE Academy, Principles of Manhood After School Program at Sylvan Middle School and Real Men Charities, Inc. Honorary Chairs include DeKalb School Supt. Michael Thurmond, Atlanta City Councilman Andre Dickens, Fulton County Commissioner John Eaves and R & B Musician and Singer Ellis Hall.
