Viking's Concealed Residential Flat Plate Concealed Fire Sprinkler protects your home from fire and does not detract from the beauty of your home.  The VK488 fire sprinker head from Viking is concealed in the cealing and covered with a flat plate the can be painted to match your cealing.  The new concealed residential fire sprinkler is engineered to work with low water pressure and opens when fire temperatures reach 135 degrees.

The Viking VK488 fire sprinkler is part of the Viking Freedom® residential fire sprinkler line and can be used in rooms up to 16' x 16' in size. This new Viking sprinkler head is an improved version of the VK470 sprinkler introduced in 2012.  It works better with lower water pressures and small pipe fittings found in some homes.


The new VK488 fire sprinkler has a ½ in  NPT thread size and is available with a temperature rating of 165°F (74°C). The fire sprinkler cover plate for the VK488 is offered in three different options including standard/small diameter, large diameter, and Viking’s exclusive square cover plate. All three fire sprinkler cover plate options have a temperature rating of 135°F (57°C). Like all concealed fire sprinklers from Viking, flat fire sprinkler cover plates are available in several standard finishes and a nearly unlimited number of custom colors.
