Daniel Baumann wanted a modern website, initially in three languages with the possibility of being able to include further languages in the future to accommodate the company’s international customers. In particular, he wanted to be able to enter and maintain product data more quickly and efficiently.

For faster and above all simple data entry, Almut M. implemented MetaModels (http://now.metamodel.me) - an extension of the Contao open source CMS. With the aid of this extension, even continually increasing volumes of data can easily be linked to each other and managed. In the backend, the input masks and list views allow Fuchs AG to update the relevant pages or product catalogues with hundreds of entries within a short space of time. "The time required for entering data on a new machine has decreased by a third," says Daniel Baumann. Thanks to the MetaModels extension, the machine manufacturing company can also very easily set up its pages in multiple languages. "To see and edit the contents in the other languages, all the editor has to do is switch to the desired language using a dropdown menu,” says Almut Müller, owner of Almut M, explaining the advantages of using MetaModels for the Fuchs AG website. “This saves a lot of clicks through the backend, the other languages can be reached with only one click and it’s also much easier to handle the translations.”

For the company, this means a convenient management of data in the backend, and for website visitors, the ability to quickly find what they are looking for in the frontend. The extensive filter possibilities make it possible to provide the information needed swiftly – for example, references from the food industry, special offers for used machines or technical information on individual products.
