Perkins Motor Plex Donates to local Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - June 25, 2014 - PRLog -- With the help of social media, Perkins Motor Plex was able to spotlight a local organization for rescuing abused, abandoned, and neglected animals.

Perkins Motor Plex and Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary reached out to their Facebook fans in May, National Pet Month, and asked them to post pictures of their adorable pets!  Perkins Motor Plex donated $5 for each picture posted. From El Segundo, California to Alexandria, Virginia the call was answered by animal lovers posting pet pictures to help raise awareness.

Perkins Motor Plex is pleased to announce they raised $600 for Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary of Hendersonville, TN.

“It was exciting to see the response from around the area. We are thrilled to help these abandoned animals receive the proper care and homes they deserve,” said Nathan Higdon, Perkins Motor Plex General Manager.

"We cannot thank you guys [Perkins Motor Plex] enough and we really appreciate the help!  We have three dogs we rescued recently that ended up being pregnant! The money will go to great use on the many puppies new to the program," said Freedom Farm board member Scott Kemp.
