Rodger Delany – Full Band Electric at the Mid Summer Classic

PHILADELPHIA - June 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Rodger Delany will perform full band electric for the Mid Summer Classic on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the World Café Live - Philly.    Brian Fin formerly of The Parsnip Revolt and Matt Doyle of Murphee Doyle and formerly of Cubane will join Rodger Delany on bass and drums respectively.   The event marks four years since Rodger Delany put down the electric guitar and dusted off an old acoustic starting on a path to find his own voice.

Hosted by the World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, The Mid Summer Classic is an annual all ages summer music festival featuring new music from the dynamic Philly music scene.  The Mid Summer Classic 2014 includes:  Rodger Delany, The Better Half, Zymotic Flow, 46 Reasons, Red Rising, Outshine and Gene Pool.

Rodger Delany is a singer/songwriter from Maple Shade, NJ.  He is described as "Father, friend, recovering electric guitarist..."  Recent releases include the all-acoustic CD - Moment of Truth (2012), the acoustic single - Alright to Love Christmas Again (2012) and the acoustic piano single - Mischief (2013).  Rodger Delany was lead guitarist and secondary singer/songwriter for Mother Redcap who released two full rock CD’s – All This Nothing (2009) and Up to Now… (2000).

Rodger Delany received nominations for Song of the Year for three consecutive years on WSTW 93.7 FM Hometown Heroes. Nominations include: Moment of Truth (2012), Mischief (2011) recorded live at the Tin Angel and Ever After (2010) from Mother Redcap’s  All This Nothing CD.  Rodger Delany's Moment of Truth was nominated for Album of the Year and Rodger Delany was nominated for Artist of the Year on WSTW 93.7 FM Hometown Heroes in 2012.   The Jersey Acoustic Music Awards nominated Rodger Delany for “Top New Male Act” in 2012.  The acoustic piano version of Mischief was one of “Top 10 Songs of 2013” on Gashouse Radio.
