With summer here, visiting the Wildlife Learning Center can be a great and fun experience

SYLMAR, Calif. - June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- With summer just around the corner, WLC can be your next attraction to bring your children along. Located in Sylmar, Calif. A great alternative to the lines, crowds and steep entry fees of big zoos. You can come and see among the enclosures of more than fifty species including; bobcats, foxes, kinkajous, snakes, alligators, monkeys and lynxes to name a few. WLC is open to the public seven days of the week from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and admission is only $7 for adults, $6 for children. For an additional charge you have an opportunity to get hands on encounters with animals. That includes having the opportunity to feeding and petting some animals.

LA Weekly name the Wildlife Learning Center the best alternative zoo/sanctuary in Los Angeles. WLC is a wildlife sanctuary and public education that is located in Sylmar, CA. The Wildlife Foundation provides financial support for the ongoing care of the dozens of rescued animals that are given a home for life at the WLC. The sanctuary includes over fifty different species.  They are a non- profit organization that provides outreach and onsite education in wildlife biology. Their outreach program is the largest in Los Angeles with classes taught by their friendly and enthusiastic biologists. The Learning Center is also open to the public and visitors can have; one-on-one encounters, behind the scenes tours, zoology courses, as well as birthday parties and special events booking.
