New Artist Alert: R&B Singer RJ drops hot new summer love single and music video “Right Here”

STUDIO CITY, Calif. - June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Genius Music recording artist RJ was born Ronald Hodge in Los Angeles, Ca.  As a child he began singing at the age six with his older sister as his mentor. By age ten RJ was competing and winning first place in numerous talent shows.  From that day forward RJ knew music and entertainment would be his calling.

Performing in numerous competitions with popular local bands, RJ developed his stage show in front of crowds of 30,000 plus at the Los Angeles Staples Center. RJ was also a contestant on American Idol’s season 7 where he was selected out of thousands for the top 50 in the country.

As a songwriter RJ is considered nothing short of amazing. He doesn’t write lyrics down, instead he listens to musical tracks and in a matter of minutes goes in the recording booth and starts singing melodies and words that over a period of minutes becomes a finished song.  It’s an amazing process to witness.

In 2012 and 2013 RJ had (3) songs that were released internationally featuring Megastars Pitbull and Flo Rida. The single entitled “U know it ain’t love” became a #1 single Japan, and top 10 in Europe and Italy. The singles “Live 4 and Die 4” also featuring Pitbull and “Baby it’s the last time” featuring Flo Rida and Qwote also received major club and radio airplay in Japan, Europe and Italy. All (3) music videos for these songs have gained over 27 million views on Youtube.  On August 21, 2013 RJ’s album “Emotions” debuted as the #3 dance album in Japan.

Currently RJ’s single “Right Here” is going for airplay and is already playing on Music Choice, and national monitored Urban Radio Stations WFXE in Columbus, GA
WRSV in Greenville, NC    WIIZ in Augusta, GA   WEUP in Huntsville, AL.  RJ's new album entitled “2Letters” is due to be released in July.
