CTEK Renews Sponsorship of the Valerie Thompson Land Speed Motorcycle Racing Team

TWINSBURG, Ohio - June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- CTEK Power, Inc. has renewed its sponsorship of Valerie Thompson Racing for the 2014 season. Owner and driver Valerie Thompson is a six-time land speed record holder and one of America’s fastest females on two-wheels.

Riding the CTEK-sponsored BMW 1000 RR, Thompson shattered the East Coast Timing Association (ECTA) one-mile record in the MPS/Modified Class during the recent Ohio Mile competition in Wilmington, Ohio. Thompson clocked in at 208.7 mph, easily breaking the former record of 205 mph. Thompson’s new record also qualified her for membership in the exclusive ECTA 200 MPH Club while claiming bragging rights as the fastest RR in the MPS/F-1000 Class.

Thompson and her CTEK-sponsored BMW team now turn their sights on setting new land speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats during the August 9-15 speed trials.
